DOTLAN is a commercial intranetsystem, for which a license key is needed. There are three license packages. The all-around-lanparty-package, the online tournament package and a model for the event system (example: seminars)

The license model is split into two parts. In addition to the basic fee for the system, every event has its license fee which is oriented on the number of participants. With this dual license model, the pricing is warrented to be fair for every size of event.

Basic license fee:
The basic license fee includes the generation of the license key which is needed for use of the software. This fee has to be paid one-time for every concurrent installation.

Event license fee:
The organiser has to pay every event where he use DOTLAN. This fee is oriented on the planned/announced number of participants (not the real number of participants on the event). For the fee, it doesn't make a difference if you want to use the DOTLAN system as intranet-only or as website for your event and organisation.

This license model is dedicated to those users who will use the DOTLAN System as platform for further online tournaments. With this license you can use all modules provided by DOTLAN (excluding the event system) to run a big community page including exciting tournaments. The license is available for an annual subscription per year.

This license model is dedicated to those users who will use the DOTLAN System as event subscription page for non-lanparty-events. With this license you can use all modules provided by DOTLAN (excluding the tournament system) to provide a stable platform where users can subscribe to your events like seminars or other events. The license is available for an annual subscription per year.

With a basic license you've the permission to run one concurrent DOTLAN installation. The license user has also the permission to reuse the license, in case of deactivation of the first installation. For every concurrent installation one basic license is needed. The exceptional case is the use for the intranat installation of DOTLAN for your licensed event.

With the buy of a basic license you've the right to get free software updates for one year. This period will extend for another year if you buy an event license beginning with the date of your event.
